Where does the photography session take place?

A photography session can take place in the comfort of your home or at a location of your choice.  I regularly use a variety of locations but if you have a place that is special to you and your family I'm more than happy to investigate it's potential, and if we can use it we will. It's a wonderful way to add a personal touch to your images.

When should I book?

It’s never too early to book! My calendar can fill up quickly, and it’s always best to contact me as soon as possible for an appointment. I aim to provide the most relaxing and comfortable photography experience from start to finish. Once you make a booking we will have a  consultation; either in person or over the phone, where we confirm a date and location, and you can share your vision for your session with me.

What should we wear?

Clothing is an important element for beautiful, timeless portraits. I recommend simple, classic apparel that reflects your style. Neutrals, creams and soft pastels photograph beautifully amidst the colourful outdoors backdrops. Have fun with rich textures, layers, simple patterns, ruffles, and accessories; the possibilities are endless! Coordinate your outfits with a palette of complementary colours for family portraits.

What should I bring?

I like to focus on capturing simple, fun images, however I do encourage you to bring along any items of your own that are personal and meaningful for your portraits. Towards the end of a session (with children) we can get creative with additional wardrobe/prop options, such as tutus, costumes, rain boots, capes, fairy wings, dolls, swords, stuffed animals, musical instruments, favourite activity, etc. to capture your children’s genuine personalities.

How will I view the images?

Following your photo session, I select the best images for artistic editing. Within 2-3 weeks of your session, you will be sent access to your private online gallery to view and select your images, which you're  more than welcome to share with your family and friends. 

 

I devote time to carefully compare hundreds of photos from your shoot and select only the ones that meet my high standards.  If you would like your products to arrive in time for a birthday or special occasion, please notify me in advance, and I will try my best to accommodate. Once you have selected the images from your online gallery, each one is individually processed and enhanced into a true work of art.

Please note that, like most professional photographers, I do not supply the RAW files as these are merely the unedited files essential to achieve your final portraits. 

How will my images be presented?

I offer a variety of prints, custom wall art, lumi tiles, digital files and keepsake albums to suit every client.  Each product I offer has been selected for its heirloom quality and ensures that your custom piece will be enjoyed for generations!  I am more than happy to help you with your selection and plan how to best showcase your portrait art.

What happens if I need to re-schedule?

Sometimes things go wrong. For things that are out of your control like meltdowns, sicknesses and weather shenanigans.  I'll work around these and reschedule; no stress. I always ask that you provide as much notice as you can.

How much will it cost?

I prefer to keep everything as simple and clear as possible. The following is a starting list of fees and prices but because each session is unique,I recommend giving me a call to make sure it matches what you actually want on the day.

Session Fees (including your pre-session consult, the session itself and all post-production editing)

  • Family and Baby sessions - $75

  • Newborn sessions (longer shoot and editing time) - $95

  • Extended family sessions (for between 10 to 20 max people) - $150

  • Weddings & other sessions - Price on request

Please note: For locations further than 25kms and up to 100kms from the Brisbane's CBD, we may apply and additional allowance of $2.50 per km travelled (for the total distance of a return trip) will be added. Please ask us if this applies to you.
