I’m a family photographer based in Brisbane, Australia but I have taken photos all over the world. I have worked for two of Brisbane’s top portrait and wedding studios and been published several times along the way to end up here in my own business, Spark Photography (formally Sirius Photography) for the last 14 years. I have photographed weddings, newborns, babies, toddlers, kids and families (including pets!) and which has included the three kiddos of my own, my husband, our dog, 3 guinea pigs and 8 chickens, so basically if it's stands still long enough (and sometimes when it doesn't) I have taken a photo of it.

I have a deep passion for photography and the opportunity I have to capture a single moment in time, to create a memory spark. That feeling you get when you look at old photos, that evoke feelings and emotions you forgot you had, making them more precious over time. When I look back at old photos of my kids some of my favourites are the ones with silly faces, grumpy faces, dirty faces and even sad faces.

I believe that a great portrait has the power to take your breath away, make you laugh with delight, and move you to tears. My style is capturing real moments that tell a story, while showcasing the wonder, joy and excitement of your most important life moments. I love to get creative with beautiful light, artistic perspectives, and funky angles. Most of all, I love to present those precious memories as stunning works of art that your family will cherish forever.

When I'm on a shoot you might see me:

• Run around like a crazy person, jump up and down make faces & moo like a cow.

• Go nuts over your newborn.

• Encourage lots of play, even a little naughtiness.

• Embrace messy hair, fingers in noses,  and mismatched shoes.
